Louise Alison Lukas,59, of Middletown, CT, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 25,2024 after a forty-year battle with multiple sclerosis. She was born on November20th,1964, daughter to Flavia Gwara and the late John Gwara.

Louise grew up in Meriden, CT and was a graduate of Mercy High School and The University of Connecticut.  Following college, she continued her studies in Philadelphia, where she earned her Paralegal certification. She ultimately found passion at the former Coopers & Lybrand, and in the world of accounting, where she easily balanced long hours during tax season with equal measures of fun, arts and crafts.

Louise had a lifelong interest in politics and worked on two presidential campaigns. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, notably Peggy Traverso, her "second mom", and was frequently the last person to leave a party or the blackjack table. She found joy in watching Yankees games with her Dad and Uncle Pappy. We will miss her beautiful green eyes, smile and sense of humor.

Left behind to mourn her passing are nephews, Nathan and Timmy Carey, nieces, Caitlin Carey and Lorie Delcua, cousin Aurora Tan, and the Love of her Life, friend and ex-husband Danny Lukas, Best Friend Tracey Brown.  Besides her father, she was predeceased by her brother "Chippy" and sister Peggy.

A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday, March 2,2024 at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, Middletown. The burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Middletown.  Friend may gather at the church from 10 to 10:30 AM.
