Obituary

Louis V. Negrelli, Jr., 89, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home in Portland on Monday, January 20, 2024.  He was predeceased by his wife Irene (Golub) Negrelli.  Louis was a proud U.S. Navy veteran who served aboard the U.S.S. Saratoga aircraft carrier in which later he and his wife attended and chaired many of its reunions.

Louis is survived by his devoted daughters, Karen Negrelli Clark and her husband Richard of Portland, CT, and Marcia Negrelli Annunziata and her husband Richard of Branford, CT. He was the treasured grandfather of Michael A. Annunziata, Alena R. Annunziata, Andrew L. Clark, and Marykate L. Clark.

Louis is also survived by his sister, Barbara Kavanaugh of Portland, CT, and his brother, John Negrelli of Higganum, CT. He was predeceased by his parents, Louis V. Negrelli, Sr., and Helene Negrelli.

Prior to his retirement, Louis worked for Pratt & Whitney's Colt Manufacturing Division in Hartford, CT.  He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and vacationing in ME, fishing with friends, tending to his flower gardens and creating homemade goods from his vegetable garden. He was an avid fan of the N.Y. Yankees, UConn basketball, NASCAR, and his grandchildren's sports. Louis also was a member of the Elks Lodge.  His family would like to thank Debra, a close companion, for her friendship and support.
