Lori (Conti) Raczka, 70, of Higganum, beloved wife of Stanley Raczka, passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 31, 2024, at her home surrounded by family after a courageous cancer journey.

She was born in Middletown, daughter of the late Barbara (Barbour) and Lawrence L. Conti , Sr. Lori was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Middletown in 1971, and Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic in 1975. Lori spent her whole life living in Higganum and was a friend to many in the community.

Lori was an elementary school teacher for over 39 years at Burr Elementary School and Haddam Elementary School. She was loved by so many students and colleagues, remembered for always bringing enthusiasm, fun and smiles to the classroom. Lori loved getting to know her students' personalities and helping them learn and grow.

Lori is survived by her husband, Stanley, daughter, Morgan Raczka of Watertown, MA, brother, Lawrence Conti, Jr. of Higganum, as well as her extended family. She was predeceased by her sister, Darcy Christensen. Lori loved spending time with her family and will be remembered for her thoughtfulness, her sense of humor and her deeply caring nature. Her kindness and warmth will be missed.
