Lisa Marenna, 67, of Middlefield, died Thursday April 9, 2026 at the home surrounded by family.

She was born in Middletown, the daughter of the late Franklin P. and Betty Ann (Lauritsen) Helmedach.  Prior to her retirement, Lisa was a loan specialist with Liberty Bank.

She is survived by her daughter, Jamie Marenna "the kid" of Middlefield; brothers, Steven Helmedach and his wife Lora of Moodus, and Kenneth Helmedach and his wife Lori of Middlefield; her partner, Bill Yeomans of Middlefield.

Lisa was a loving mother who "adopted" many kids over the years, always keeping her door open for those in need. She was quick-witted and willing to give you a good one liner when deserved. When Lisa wasn't on the beach soaking up the sun, you could find her baking her famous chocolate chip cookies with Honey the dog under her feet.

Visitation will be held on Friday (May 1st) from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown, followed by a Words of Remembrance Service at 6:30 p.m.  Those who wish may send memorial contributions to Connecticut Cancer Foundation, 15 North Main Street,
