Lillian (Benson) Lorenc, 82, of Wells, Maine, formerly of Higganum, wife of the late Theodore Albert Lorenc, died Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Avita of Wells Assisted Living facilities in Wells, Maine.

Lillian (Lynn) was born in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Ralph L. Benson and Josephine (Wildman) Benson. Lynn graduated from UConn with a bachelor's degree in Sociology. After college, Lynn worked as a social worker at St. Mary's Hospital before leaving to raise a family. Prior to her retirement, Lynn was employed as a bank teller with Liberty Bank. Lynn was an active resident of Higganum and was a member of the Haddam Women's Auxiliary for many years. Throughout her life, Lynn enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing, cooking, drawing and beating everyone at Trivial Pursuit and Jeopardy.

Lynn is survived by her daughter Carol Mulrooney and her husband Robert of Wells, Maine, Mary Klimchuck and her fiancé John Rouleau of Middletown, and her grandson Alex Lorenc of Middletown, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Ralph L. Benson Sr and son-in-law Mark Klimchuck.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 3 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Haddam Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary, P.O.
