Leonard J. Kuzbel, 95, of Middletown, beloved husband of 40 years to Sandra (Maloney) Kuzbel and devoted father to daughter, Kayla Kuzbel, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, August 21, 2023. He was born in Johnstown, PA, one of nine children to the late Petronella Pervan and Joseph Kuzbel. A Korean War Vet and proud Slovakian, Leonard lived in New York City for 30 years. Upon moving to Connecticut, he was employed at Connecticut Valley Hospital for 15 years. One of his favorite jobs was his ten years at Heritage Commons until his wife fired him at 82 years old. Lenny was a cornball and we loved it. He would cut up on the dance floor or at a dinner table with silly things. He loved to laugh and he loved life. His loved ones will always remember the value he put on his friendships. Lenny would always say "Make new friends, but always cherish your old friends." His family would like to extend their gratitude to the teams at Veterans Affairs and Middlesex Hospice at Home. Friends and family may gather at a graveside service on Monday, August 28th at 9 a.m. at the State Veterans' Cemetery, Bow Lane Middletown.
