Lawrence “Larry” Vincent Trotta, 84, of Middletown, CT., husband of Margery (Martin) Trotta, died Friday May 29, 2026, hours after his birthday, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Middletown, the son of the late Vincent “Jim” and Antonia “Lena” (Accaputo) Trotta. Prior to his retirement, he was the owner of Larry’s Arco in Middletown for fifty-two years. Larry was a member of the National Guard and served as a member of the Interstate Police Officers Ass. Inc.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Deborah Walden and Richard of Rockfall, Jeanne Rustek and Michael of Higganum, and Elizabeth Trotta and Carlos Ruiz Sr. of Middletown ; two sisters, Julia Salafia and her husband Robert of Middlefield and Joyce Burgess and her husband Wayne of Cromwell; seven grandchildren, Ben, Carrie and Jack Walden, Carlos Jr. and Carmelo Ruiz, and Ryan and Jessica Rustek along with four great grandchildren with 1 on the way; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Anthony “Tony” Trotta.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday (June 3rd) from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St. Middletown, followed by a funeral service at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
