Obituary

Lawrence Brault, 86, of Higganum, husband of the late Carole (Eddy) Brault, passed away on Tuesday September 24, 2024 at home with his family. He was born in Hartford, son of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Willard) Brault. He is predeceased by his brothers Charles Brault and Albert Barrieau and sister Carol Brault and survived by his brother Robert Brault.

Larry is survived by three sons, Stephen (Michele) Brault, Mark (Amy) Brault, all of FL, Bill (Roslyn) Brault of Middletown; daughter, Laurie (Tom) Seidl of East Hampton; beloved grandchildren, Brian (Melissa) Seidl, Tim (Amanda) Seidl, and Barbara Brault; treasured  great granddaughters, Madison Seidl, Kelsea Seidl and Penelope Ringwald and many nieces and nephews.

Larry worked on a farm when he was old enough and that was his favorite job. He loved working outside. He looked forward to planting his vegetables each year. He was an operator and I&C tech at Middletown Station, Millstone and Connecticut Yankee until he retired. He was a town constable, a fireman and Boy Scout leader all in Haddam.

Larry loved traveling with his beloved wife Carole and more than anything wanted to spend time with his family. He was an avid storyteller and a talented wood carver.

Larry was that guy that people were drawn to. He was a favorite to many and will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday (Oct. 5th) at 1 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown.  Burial will be at the convenience of his family.  Friends may visit with the family at Biega Funeral Home on Saturday from 12 to 1 p.m., prior to the service with a celebration of life to immediately follow.
