Lauren Marina Vitali, 65, of Wallingford, Connecticut, died September 25, 2025, at Connecticut Hospice in Branford, Connecticut, after a lengthy illness.

Lauren was born on May 26, 1960, in Middletown, Connecticut, to Lawrence John and Angela Patricia (Annino) Vitali.  While still a young child, she moved with her family to Durham, Connecticut, where she spent her childhood, working hard in school and exploring the beautiful natural surroundings Durham offered.  Lauren graduated from Coginchaug Regional High School in 1978, then attended Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, obtaining her degree in 1982.  She later studied at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, achieving a Master's in Education in 1986.

After college, Lauren made her way to Boston, Massachusetts, settling into an apartment in the city's North End.  She lived and worked in the greater Boston area for several decades, eventually moving out of the city to live amidst the natural beauty of Boston's South Shore.  Lauren spent most of her career working as a project manager, collaborating with physicians to develop educational materials for healthcare companies.  Outside of work, Lauren had a passion for travel, and enjoyed spending time at local beaches and visiting with her family back home in Connecticut.

Lauren is survived by her sisters, Elisa Currie (Todd) of Wallingford, Connecticut, and Amy Allen (Douglas) of East Providence, Rhode Island, her two nieces and two nephews, her aunts, and many first cousins.

The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, October 4th, at 10 a.m. at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 10 Elm Street, Middletown, Connecticut.  Burial will follow at Saint John Cemetery, 400 Christian Street, Wallingford, Connecticut.  Family and friends may call on Friday, October 3rd, from 5  to 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown, Connecticut.
