Kenneth Alan. Haas, 81,of  Higganum, CT, loving husband of Alice (Bernas) Haas, passed away peacefully early Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Hartford Hospital, having suffered an acute stroke a week earlier.

Kenneth was born in Providence, Rhode Island, son of the late Erolle Joseph Haas and Constance Devereaux Haas.  Kenny, as he was known as a child, grew up in Warwick, RI and graduated from  Warwick Veterans Memorial High School. Upon marrying Alice Bernas, he moved to New Britain, Connecticut.  He served in the US Army Reserves.

A sprinkler fitter by trade, in the early 1980s, Kenneth opened American Piping of Connecticut in the early 1980s, which he ran and operated until his mid 70s.  In his spare time, he was a devoted vintage car enthusiast and could be seen at car shows and events, judging entries,  organizing slaloms, as well as running laps on the racetrack in his modified antique XJ Jaguar.   He was an active member of the Jaguar Clubs of North America and the Jaguar Club of Southern New England

Kenenth is survived by his wife Alice Bernas Haas of Higganum, beloved daughter Hilary Haas Kuris, son-in-law Burhan Kuris and three grandchildren, Adem, Harun, and Meryem of Katy, Texas.

He is also survived by five of his six siblings,  William Haas and wife Barbara of RI, Meredith Haas of Massachusetts, Sheila Sepe of Florida, Georgia Rossi and husband Joseph of New Jersey  and Jeffery Haas and wife Sandra of Connecticut, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by Steven Haas, of Florida.
