Kenneth Crompton, 64, of Middlefield, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Middletown, son of the late E. Charles and Pauline (Winters) Crompton. Prior to his retirement, Ken was the Service Manager for Daniels Energy, in Portland where he was a dedicated employee for 45 years.
Ken is survived by his son, Kevin Crompton of Middlefield; daughter, Kasey Traggianese and her husband Matt; sister, Karen Martel and her husband Marc of Rockfall; brother, Jim Crompton and his girlfriend, Laura of Middletown; girlfriend, Justine Kleczkowski of Rockfall; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ken was known as someone who always had a smile on his face. His passion, care and generosity was felt by everyone he touched. His best and favorite role in life was being DAD. The dedication and love he had for his kids was also mutually felt by his family, infinite friends, and girlfriend.
At 18 years of age, Ken graduated from trade school and began his career in the HVAC industry. He took great pride in his craft, and through the years worked his way to the position of Service Manager at Daniels Energy. Outside of work, some of his favorite hobbies and interests were camping with his family, hosting cookouts on his patio in the summertime, cruising around in his Corvette, and riding his Harley. He loved spending time with his kids most of all.
Funeral services will be held to honor his life on Tuesday, May 28th at 10:15 a.m. from Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown, followed by an 11 a.m. Funeral Service at Middlefield Federated Church. Burial will follow at Middlefield Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 27th from 4 to 6 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home.
