Kathleen Dominick Rosa, 74, of Middletown, passed away on July 15, 2022, after complications from a stroke.

She was born in Middletown, on August 26, 1947 to Samuel and Lillian Gay Dominick. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Sharon Moore. Six years ago, Kathy was devastated by the loss of her high school sweetheart, her husband of 51 years, Pietro Rosa. Kathy and Pietro (Cooch) raised their two supportive and devoted children, Peter and Shelley, in the house they built together in Middletown.

Family was the center of Kathy's universe. Kathy is survived by her son, Peter Rosa and her daughter, Shelley Rosa, both of Middletown, and the absolute light of her life, her adored grandson, Peter Aldo Rosa. Kathy and young Peter enjoyed a close, special bond, both cherishing their time together.

Kathy began her career in the healthcare industry and eventually left to help her husband manage the family construction business, while raising their children. In addition to her children and grandson, she leaves behind many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Kathy was very creative and enjoyed crocheting and handmaking decorative wreaths. She also had an ardent fascination with vintage paper dolls, greeting cards, coloring books and anything Disney.

A graveside service, celebrating Kathy's life, will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian's Cemetery in Rockfall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to one of Kathy's favorite charities, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
