Justina Oquendo, 88, of Plainville, CT, wife of the late William Oquendo, passed away peacefully with family by her side at The Summit at Plantsville.

Justina was born in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico, the cherished daughter of the late Primitivo Martinez and Benedicta Enrique.

Justina is survived by a large and loving family, including her daughters: Maria Adams, Lucy Turner, Aida Rivera, Lucrecia Gonzalez, Sonette White, Jeanette Walker, Jenifer Oquendo, and Justina Ramos; her sons: Tony Rivera and Gilberto Reyes; and her brother Angel Martinez. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly. Justina was predeceased by her daughter Rosa Gomez; two sons, Porfirio Rivera and Eliezer Rivera; and her siblings, Carmen Martinez y Enrique, Regina Martinez y Enrique, Arcadio Martinez y Enrique, and Pedro Martinez y Enrique.

Throughout her life, Justina embraced hobbies that brought joy not only to herself but also to those around her. She loved gardening, listening to Spanish music, and cooking for family and friends. Her love for gatherings was evident, as she was always hospitable and welcomed everyone with open arms.
