Joyce Evans, 75, of Middletown, wife of Peter Evans, Sr., died Saturday April 8, 2023 at Middlesex Hospital.  She was born in Glastonbury, daughter of the late Guildo A. and Versa (Russell) Bermani.  Joyce was employed as a nurse's aide working for local nursing homes. She was exceptional at her job, always providing loving care for all the residents she took care of.

Besides her husband Peter, Joyce is survived by her daughters, Liz Clark and Joy Galasyn; son, Peter Evans, Jr.; brother, Robert Bermani; sister-in-law Patricia Bermani; as well as five grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Louis Bermani.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday April 18, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Portland United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Westchester Cemetery.
