Joseph Jude Wiernasz, Sr., 68, of Middletown, died at Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was born in Middletown, son of the late Edmund and Yolanda (Vecca) Wiernasz. He was the owner of Alpha Equipment Services, a company that specialized in the repair of commercial food equipment.

Joseph is survived by his son, Joseph Wiernasz, Jr. of Middletown, his daughters, Victoria Wiernasz of Middletown and Katherine Wiernasz of Cromwell, and brother, Edmund Wiernasz, Jr. of Kennebunk, ME.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 30th from 5 to 7 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St. Middletown. Burial will be held on Friday, July 31st at 11 a.m. at Pine Grove Cemetery.
