Joseph "Clifford" Derosier, 83, of Middletown, beloved husband, Marie E. (Wilson) Derosier, died on Friday August 11th, 2023 at Middlesex Hospital. He was born in Saint Agatha, Maine, son of the late, Adolph and Antoinette (Chamberlin) Derosier.
Prior to his retirement, Cliff was the owner of an A-1 Appliance Company. He was a veteran, serving with the USMC; as a parachute rigger. He was very active in Middletown baseball, and Connecticut sports. He was a volunteer with the Little League and CYO Basketball, Midget Football for 40 years. He was also an umpire, and umpired games all over the state, including the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Besides his wife, Marie, Clifford is survived by, two sons, John Derosier of Bolton, and Michael Derosier of Portland; and a daughter Kelly Derosier of Middletown. A brother Roland Derosier of Southington, Lucian Derosier of Berlin, a sister, Carol Davenport of Plainville, two grandchildren, Jason and Salvatore Derosier, five great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Patrick Derosier, a sister, Connie Prisco, and a daughter-in-law, Melanie Derosier.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held Thursday, August 17th at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Pius X Church, 310 Westfield Street, Middletown. Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home 3 Silver Street, Middletown on Wednesday August 16th from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial with military honors will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
