Joseph Thomas "Bapo" Dorgan, 95, of Middletown, husband of the late Wilma Jeanne (Martin) Dorgan, died peacefully at his home with family at his side.

Joseph was born in Middletown, son of the late Robert J. Dorgan and Mary (Dwyer) Dorgan. Prior to his retirement Joseph was employed as a manager for Feldspar Corp. in Middletown.  Joseph was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army.  Joseph was a Communicant of Saint Francis of Assisi and served as an Usher and Eucharistic Minister. Bapo will be remembered as a great husband, a great father, a great grandfather and a great great-grandfather.

Joseph is survived by daughter Karen McDowell of Middletown, grandchildren Joseph McDowell, Sara McDowell, Thomas McDowell, Jack McDowell, Christina Ross, and Raymond Campbell, and great-grandchildren Amber Campbell, Payton Campbell, Morgan Campbell, Joseph Campbell, Milena McDowell, and Gio Schef-Mota. Joseph was pre-deceased by his daughter Pamela Dorgan Voigt.

A Funeral Liturgy will be held Tuesday October 11 th at 10:30 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Middletown. The service will also honor the late Pamela Dorgan-Voigt.
