Joseph G. Arusiewicz of Wethersfield passed on June 11, 2025, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in West Haven.

He joined the Army after graduating from Newington High School in 1964. He served in the US Army Security Agency in Germany for two and one half years receiving his honorable discharge in 1967. He was a life member of the Newington P.A.C. and the Wethersfield Cove Yacht Club.

He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Anna Arusiewicz and a brother Thomas A. Arusiewicz. He is survived by brother John and his wife Sharon,  and a sister-in-law, Theresa Arusiewicz, of LadySmith Wisconsin. He also leaves close friends and neighbors who were an important part of his life.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 6:30 pm at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown.  Friends may call on the family prior to the service from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. Burial with military honors will be at the convenience of the family.
