John Barone, 73, of Middletown, husband of the late Judith (Cox) Barone and Christine (Bargar) Barone, died Saturday March 29, 2025 at his home.

He was born in Middletown, the son of the late Nicholas and Clara (Bartolotta) Barone, Sr.  Prior to his retirement, John was employed for 50 years with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft retiring as a shop foreman.  He formerly served as a volunteer fireman with South Farms Fire and Westfield Fire Departments, Pratt and Whitney Fire Department and was an EMT and member of the Middletown Police Auxiliary.

He is survived by his children, Victoria Barone of Middletown, Christopher Barone and his husband Edward Flemke of Southington, and Daniel Barone and his wife Tina of Middletown; grandson, Hunter Barone; as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his brother, Nicholas Barone, Jr. and sister, Josephine Klemba.

Funeral services will be held on Friday (April 4th) at 5:30 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown.  Burial will be at the convenience of his family.
