Jeffery S. Olson, 57, of East Haddam, husband of Lori (Ley) Olson, died Tuesday January 21, 2025, at Hartford Hospital after a complicated battle with esophageal cancer.

He was born in Hartford, the son of Linda (Buchas) Olson of Newington, and the late Ernest L. Olson, Jr.  In addition to his wife and mother, Jeff is survived by his sister, Jill LeClair and her husband, Brian of Newington and their sons, Tyler and Joshua; his stepdaughter, Sara Dombroski and her family of Durham, along with additional family and many friends.

Jeff was currently a machinist with Bausch Advanced Technologies in Clinton. He loved a challenge and could fix or make anything. He was always there to lend a helping hand, often without being asked. He enjoyed playing pool, snowmobiling in Vermont, fishing with friends, and kiteboarding in the Outer Banks. Most of all, he loved the life he had on Bashan Lake.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday (Jan. 25th) at 11:30 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown.  Burial will be at the convenience of his family.  Visitation will be on Saturday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service.
