Jean Schneck Combe, 97, wife of the late Edward E. Combe, Sr., died Thursday January 19, 2023 at Apple Rehab in Middletown.  Jean was born in Middletown on December 22, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Henry Paul and Adeline (Marshall) Schneck.

Jean enjoyed being a twenty-year volunteer at Middlesex Health Care Center, a twelve-year member of the Valley Shore Chapter of the Sweet Adeline, and for several years she played piano with the Reed Trio, entertaining at various nursing homes and senior centers. In her last years, she resided at Apple Rehab in Middletown. Jean and her family were grateful to the caring staff that made her years there comfortable, safe, stimulating, and happy.

Jean is survived by her two sons, Edward E. (Ted) Combe, Jr. and his wife Maria, Donald H. Combe and his wife Beverly, all of Middletown, a daughter, Mary Jean Pappas and her husband Marc of Burlington, a brother, William Schneck, sister, Barbara Serafine, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Henry M. Schneck.

The family will receive visitors in celebration of Jean's life on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home 3 Silver St. Middletown.  Burial will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery, Middletown.
