Irene (Maseyada) Corona, 79, of Middlefield, wife of Marshall Corona, died peacefully Tuesday October 1, 2024 at her home surrounded by family.

She was born in Middletown, the daughter of the late Walter and Alice (Dzierzynski) Maseyada.  Prior to her retirement, Irene was a branch manager for the former City Savings Bank, Human Resource Specialist with Bob Stores and most recently with Lyman Farms as Human Resources Director for over twenty years. She enjoyed her time in Florida and summers at the cottage on Cedar Island in Clinton.  Irene always made sure holidays were special, her favorites Thanksgiving and Christmas.  You could always find laughter, love and great food every Christmas Eve and all were welcome in her home.  Her most favorite pastime was spoiling and spending time with her 5 grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Michael Corona and Michele Corona, both of Middlefield; grandchildren, Marshall, Jennie May, Faith, Alli and Bromley; her dog Lucy; nieces, Linda Candels and Mary Masse; nephew, Jim Kowaleski.  She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Kowaleski.

Her Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday (Oct. 12th) at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Church, Middletown.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
