Helen Rose Steinhilper, 84, of Higganum, wife of Charles F. Steinhilper, Sr. died Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at her home.  Helen was born on April 23,1939 in Middletown, to the late Helen Rose Krajewski-Reneson.

Helen is survived by her sons, Charles F. Steinhilper Jr. and Robert A. Steinhilper (Elizabeth). Also, her grandchildren, Taylor (Michael) Weiffenbach, Benjamin and Carter (Jillian) Steinhilper.  Bonus grandchildren, Emily (Antonio) Massaro, Ashley and Hannah Carbone. Great Granddaughter Eloise Rose Massaro.  She was preceded by her grandson, Hayden C. Steinhilper.

In her retirement, Helen enjoyed going with her husband for breakfast or lunch, then spending time people and wildlife watching along the Connecticut River at Harbor Park and Haddam Meadows State Park.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday (March 12th) at 10 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Middletown. Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home on Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the service.
