Gloria Daigle Lake passed away at the age of 95 on July 13, 2025 from natural causes. Born in Brooklyn, New York on February 25, 1930, she spent nearly the entirety of her childhood in Methuen, MA.

She married Edward Hobart Lake on August 4, 1950 and subsequently moved to Middletown, CT, living in Higganum and Durham in later years. Before and after raising her family, she worked as a legal secretary and office manager. During the last 20 years of her career, she worked at the Department of Purchasing for the State of Connecticut. Her husband of 47 years was killed in a car accident in 1997, a loss from which she never wholly recovered.

She is survived by her two sons, Edward R. Lake of Higganum, CT, and David A. Lake of San Diego, CA, and their families, including spouses, three grandsons, and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday (July 17th) at 11 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown.  Burial will be in Burr Cemetery, Higganum.  Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service.
