Gertrude "Trudy" L. (Brown) Reeve
Born August 5, 1941-Died January 20, 2023
Trudy passed away peacefully on January 20, 2023 with her immediate family by her side. The family is most grateful for her daughter, Debby's unwavering devotion to her mother for the past 8 years, daily tending to her needs above her own. Also thankful for the dedicated, compassionate treatment by her physicians.
She was the daughter of the late George and Gertrude (St. Martin) Brown of Rhode Island. She was predeceased by her brothers Robert, Edward and George Brown and was survived by sisters Lorraine (Brown) Morgera, Marie (Brown) White, and Joanne (Brown) Spears, her God daughter, Heather and several nieces and nephews, all originally from Rhode Island.
Trudy was born and raised in Rhode Island then spent her adult years as a resident of Middletown for the past 50 years. She worked in the accounting field until she accomplished her dream of owning Trudee's Treasures Hallmark store in Deep River. This was a major achievement and joy for her. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald "Ron" V. Reeve. Throughout their marriage, they enjoyed the theatre, poetry, music, operating their store, time with friends and family, and being members of the Toastmasters Speech Club. Proudly, Ron and Trudy founded Middlesex County Toastmasters Chapter in 1991, as well as held leader positions and both named Toastmaster of the Year in the club.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra "Debby" (Kirk) Waite and her husband, Todd Waite, granddaughter Amanda (Formica) Antunes and her husband, Carlos Antunes, great grandchildren Mia, Mateo, and Nella Antunes, grandson Adam Formica, daughter Lori (Kirk) Cardoze, grandson Jared Cardoze, granddaughter Lorissa Cardoze, daughter Susan (Kirk) Moore and her husband, Ron Moore, grandsons Anthony, Trevor, and Cameron Moore.
