Obituary

George Albert Aliprandi, 93, of Middletown, CT, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. He was born on September 22, 1931, in Hartford, Connecticut, the youngest of three sons of the late Fiorindo and Bionda Aliprandi. His parents emigrated from Corvara, Italy to the United States. After entering through Ellis Island, they settled in Rocky Hill, CT.

George went to primary school in Rocky Hill and graduated from Wethersfield High School in 1949. He was drafted and served in the Korean War earning the rank of Corporal while overseas. George earned an associate and bachelor's degree at the University of Hartford in West Hartford, CT. He started his career at Royal Typewriter in Hartford, CT, then transitioned to a leadership role at Stanadyne where he retired after 26 years in August of 1994.

On November 27, 1957, he married the love of his life, Carol. Together they raised four children at their home in Middletown, CT. George was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He enjoyed annual family vacations and traveling with his wife. He loved being outside working on his gardens, fruit trees, and grapevines. George was very skilled in woodworking and made memorable gifts for his family. When George was not outside, he could be found cheering on the Yankees and the UConn women's basketball team.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Carol Aliprandi. His four children, George Aliprandi (Maureen), Cheryl-Ann Czesak, Brenda Matteson (Paul), and Donald Aliprandi (Diane). His thirteen grandchildren, Ryan Czesak, Anthony Czesak, Annaliese Wagner (Rusty), Amanda Braund (Joe), Natalie Czesak, Danielle Czesak Contente (Kyle), Jonathan Aliprandi (Addison), Tiffany Bruns (Christopher), Sarah Corcoran (William), Karina Krisher (Lowell), Rachael Aliprandi, Daniel Matteson, and Emily Matteson. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, Kamryn Wagner, Owen Wagner, Emma Corcoran, Gabriel Aliprandi, Olivia Braund, Kristen Corcoran, Piper Aliprandi, Luke Braund, Dominic Aliprandi, Lincoln Braund, Judah Aliprandi, Maisie Bruns, Oakley Krisher, Abilene Krisher, and Jackson Bruns, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Fiorindo and Bionda Aliprandi, his brothers, Daniel and Donato Aliprandi, and his beloved son-in-law, Walter Czesak.

The viewing will be held at Biega Funeral Home, in Middletown, on Sunday, December 8th from 2-4 PM. A funeral service will be held at Saint Pius X Catholic Church, in Middletown, on Monday, December 9th at 10:30 AM. Burial to follow at Miner Cemetery in Middletown.
