Genevieve "Gena" Hermance, 94, of Durham, wife of the late Frank Hermance, passed away on March 6, 2023 at her home.  She was born in Norwich, daughter of John and Margaret (Wino) McClave. Gena was employed as a supervisor with CT Valley Hospital before her retirement. She had a love for music, especially country, and enjoyed playing the piano and organ. She was also an avid New York Yankee fan.

Gena is survived by her brother, James McClave of Old Lyme and Port Jefferson, NY, and was loved by many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, Frank and her sister, Jacqueline Neville.

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday March 9, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St. Middletown. Burial will follow at East Lyme Cemetery.  Family and friends may gather prior to the service on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home.
