Gary Bryant Levensaler, 75, of Higganum, CT, passed away peacefully at his home on November 12, 2024, with his loving wife Cheryl, and his cat Winnie by his side.

Gary was born August 31, 1949, to Bryant & Dorothy (Davis) Levensaler in Damariscotta, Maine. He graduated from Waldoboro High School in 1967 and worked for Southern New England Telephone Company as a Linesman for 25 years.  Upon his retirement from SNET, he worked for other companies, his most favorite being Hall's Power Equipment.

Gary loved everything outdoors.  He was an avid fisherman and hunter.  In his spare time, he also enjoyed reading the newspaper, playing solitaire on his Kindle and spending time with his family.

Gary is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cheryl (Mielczarski) Levensaler. He also leaves behind his daughter Katrina (Levensaler) Pytel and her husband, Daniel of Middletown and his daughter, Amy Levensaler, also of Middletown.  He will be terribly missed by his three amazing grandchildren, Gwen, Lila and Jake.

A calling hour will be held Monday November 18th from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St. Middletown, with a memorial service following at 12 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, a donation in his memory may be made to the charitable organization of your choosing.
