Frederick "Fred" Gasior, 83, of Middletown, beloved husband of Phyllis (Sienda) Gasior, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Wadsworth Glen Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Fred was born in Middletown on April 3, 1940, the son of the late Stanley and Albina (Bugai) Gasior. He attended school at Woodrow Wilson High School in Middletown and later graduated from Vinal Tech. He was previously married to his high school sweetheart, the late Barbara Jean (Zdankowski) Gasior.

Fred retired from Northeast Utilities (now Eversource) in 1995 as an electrical supervisor, a job he loved. After retirement, Fred was able to enjoy his many hobbies including kayaking, gardening, cooking, polka dancing, and especially restoring antique clocks.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; his son, Michael Gasior of Middletown and daughter-in-law, Vanessa Reil; son, Matthew Gasior and daughter-in-law, Tammy (Reid) Gasior of Portland; granddaughters, Lauren B. Gasior and Michael E. Gasior; nephews, Brian Polak, Bruce Polak and Stephen Gasior; niece, Susan (Gasior) Santamaria, and many extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Fred is predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Polak and his brother, Stanley P. Gasior, Jr.

The family would especially like to thank the staff at Wadsworth Glen for the exceptional care they provided during the last few years.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 16th at 10:30 am at St. Mary's of Czestochowa, 79 S. Main Street, Middletown, with a reception to follow.
