Frank J. Tycz, 76, of Englewood, FL, died peacefully on January 20, 2026. Born in Middletown, CT, son of the late Mary C. (Zaklukiewicz) and Frank E. Tycz, he was a long-time parishioner of St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, residing most of his life in Middletown and Durham, CT.

Frank had a career in banking after earning a degree from the University of New Haven.  He was a hardworking man, dedicated to his family; everything he did was for them.  Frank was devout in his faith in God and prioritized practicing that faith and expressing frequent, sincere thanksgiving.  He cherished his Polish heritage and traditions and will be remembered for his large smile, hearty laugh and deep commitment to his family.

Although his spirit will live on with them, Frank's departure has left behind his dearly loved and loving wife Gale (Bomster) Tycz and three devoted sons: David Tycz and his wife Shawn (Bonneau) Tycz of Cromwell, CT, Steven Tycz and his wife Genevieve Ray of Guilford, CT, and Kevin Stevens-Tycz and his wife Charlyne Stevens-Tycz of Aurora, CO; brother Joseph Tycz of Cromwell, CT; sister Theresa Babek of New Port Richey, FL; nephews Jeffrey & Matthew Tycz, and James Babek, niece Annette Babek; sisters-in-law, Wanda Vass and Cheryl Russo.  Frank's cherished legacy includes five grandchildren for whom he had immeasurable pride and affection: Mary, Lilly, & Addy Tycz of Cromwell, and Keoni and Kesha Stevens-Tycz of Aurora, CO.

Frank is rejoicing in being reunited in eternal life with predeceased family and friends, especially his beloved parents, twin brother John P. Tycz, sister-in-law Michele Tycz, and Goddaughter Bobi-Lee Bomster.

A funeral Mass will be held on February 27th at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Venice, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

A Memorial Mass in Middletown, Connecticut will be held on Saturday, April 25, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, officiated by friend of the family, Fr. Thomas H. Franks, O.F.M. CAP, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery and a reception to celebrate Frank's life and share memories with the family at a location to be announced.
