Frank Rak, 97, of Middletown died at his home on Sunday July 21, 2024. Frank was a lifelong resident of Middletown always living on the family farm in the Maromas section of Middletown. He was the son of the late Frank and Emma (Dornfried) Rak.

Frank was predeceased by his wife Joyce Ann (Chalker) Rak and is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Roberts, of Mystic, three sons, John Rak and his wife Donna, of Middletown, Andrew Rak and his wife Kelly, of Middletown, Paul Rak and his wife Joyce, of Norwich, 10 grandchildren, 3 greatgrandchildren, sister Betsy Stielau, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Catherine Rak, Anna Carr and Sally Bachman.

Frank served in the United States Navy during World War II, retired from the Southern New England Telephone Company after 35 years and began a second career as a real estate developer. He enjoyed farming and woodworking throughout his long life. He will always be remembered for his drive, tenacity and a firm handshake.
