Obituary

Frank Aletta Jr., 66 of Middletown, beloved husband of Marisa (Binnington) Aletta, passed away at Hartford Hospital on Monday, July 14, 2025. Frank was born in Middletown, son of the late Frank Aletta Sr. and Anita (Riccardi) Aletta.

Frank grew up in Portland and graduated from Portland High School, where he made many lifelong friends and built connections that stayed with him throughout his life. He eventually moved to Middletown, where he bought his home and raised his family. He started working in the concrete business early on and before retiring, he spent over 30 years with Pioneer Valley Concrete, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

Frank had a true passion for weightlifting. He stuck to his routine like clockwork and never missed a single day. He loved sports of all kinds and was a diehard Green Bay Packers fan. One of his favorite memories was visiting Lambeau Field with his two sons. At home, Frank took a lot of pride in keeping his lawn looking perfect. You could always count on it being freshly cut and spotless. He also loved spending time with his grandkids and watching them play sports brought back great memories of his own childhood and the days when he was known as a great all-around athlete.

Besides his wife, Marisa, Frank is survived by his daughter, Danielle Aletta (Mike Farmer) of Portland; two sons, Michael Aletta of Middletown, and Brett Aletta (Christina Lombardo) of Middletown; a sister, Donna Aletta Glynn (Tim Glynn) a brother, Robert Aletta of Portland; two cherished granddaughters, Brielle and Brooklyn Farmer; and a grandson who is expected to join the family soon.
