Florence (Pattavina) Chamis, 88, of Middletown, CT cherished wife of Christos Chamis, passed away on January 30, 2026, at Wadsworth Glen Nursing Home. Florence was born November 22, 1937, in Middletown, Connecticut to the late Joseph and Filomena (Milardo) Pattavina.

Florence has moved forward to be with our Lord. She lived her life passionately, devoting herself to serving her God and her family. She was known to ask at family gatherings, "What are we doing?" and her family would answer. "We are making a Memory!". She was a woman who embodied the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31, "Many daughters have done nobly, but you excel them all".

Besides her husband, Florence is survived by her daughter, Christa Smith and her husband Darren Smith, and her sons, Jack Chamis and his wife Megan Chamis and James Chamis. She is survived by her grandchildren: Jon Lovecraft, Hannah Marlow, Maddy Chamis, Isaiah Chamis, Adam Chamis, Nicholas Chamis, Rachel King, Darren Smith and Bethany Kline. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Jeremiah Smith, Elijah Smith, Sunny Lovecraft and Morgan Marlow.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Oasis of Life Christian Church, 31B Inwood Rd, Rocky Hill, CT. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
