Flavian F. Wolak,  77, of Middletown, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 15, 2024.  He had been a loving and devoted husband, father, and son.

Flavian was born on September 17, 1946, in Middletown, CT to the late Walter and Cecelia (Satagaj) Wolak.  Prior to his retirement, Flave was employed at Gulf Oil for over 40 years.

Flavian was a very compassionate man who always looked after his family, always making sure everyone was okay. He was always there to give his support, cheer you on, lend a hand, listen, and comfort. For most of his children's lives, you would find Flave at "Gram's house" on Saturdays, where countless games of basketball were played in the driveway and numerous piles of leaves were jumped into. For many summers, he travelled to Aruba with his loving wife of 41 years, Regina "Reggie" R. (Adamovage) Wolak, who sadly passed away on December 27, 2021.

Flave leaves behind his 6 children; Adam Wolak and wife Kim of Lebanon, Marie Arce-Daniels and husband Jeff of Middletown, Shawn Wolak and wife Paula of Portland, Marc Wolak of NC, Dawn Stomsky and husband Alan of Southington and Gary Giammatteo of CO, and 8 grandchildren whom he adored beyond measure, Kyle, Lexia, Ryan, Guyy, Jesse, Dakota, Lee and Ava, 2 uncles, Peter and Rich Satagaj, and many cousins and friends.  Aside from his parents and wife, Flave was predeceased by his in laws Albert and Genevieve (Klocko) Adamovage, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law who were very special to him, John and Lorraine Slasienski and his grandson, Travis Wolak.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Biega's Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown.  A memorial service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m.  after the visitation.  Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Bow Lane, Middletown.
