Flavia (Agosta) Gwara, 97, of Middletown formerly of Meriden, wife of the late John Gwara, passed away on May 7, 2024, at Wadsworth Glen Health Care & Rehab Center.

Flavia was born in Bristol CT, daughter of the late, Corrado and Frances (Savasta) Agosta.

Prior to her retirement, Flavia was employed as a nurse's aide.  She was an accomplished artist working in many mediums and exhibited her art in many shows.

Flavia was predeceased by her daughter, Louise Lukas, her son Clifford Aldrich, and her daughter Peggy Carey three sisters, Louise Claffey, Aurora Zulkowski, Madeline Achion, two brothers, Peter, and Lynn Agosta. She is survived by her grandchildren Nathan Carey, Timothy Carey, Katlin Carey and Lori D. She is also survived by her niece Aurora Tan.

A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, May 13th at 9 a.m. at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, 79 South Main St. Middletown. Burial will follow at the State Veterans' Cemetery. To share memories or express condolences online please visit www.biegafuneralhome.com.
