Felicia M. (Filewicz) Wisneski, 94, of Higganum, passed away peacefully at home on April 7, 2026, just days before her 95th birthday.
Born on April 16, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Stanislaw and Mary (Smoloski) Filewicz. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raymond E. Wisneski, with whom she shared more than 65 years of marriage, as well as her siblings Dorothy Bindas, Cecilia Grzelak, and Dr. Stanley Filewicz.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Judith (Marc) Levin of Haddam, Heidi (William) Wrang III of Naples, Florida, and Jaime (Leroy Holdmeyer) Wisneski of Higganum. She also leaves behind two cherished grandchildren, William Wrang IV of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Catharine Wrang of Boston, Massachusetts.
Felicia grew up in New Britain and graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic School. She went on to earn a degree as an LPN and worked at Middlesex Hospital. It was in Middletown that she met the love of her life, Raymond. Together, they built a successful life centered on family, faith, and kindness.
Felicia devoted herself to raising three daughters and creating a warm, joyful home. She later co-founded Wisneski Realty with her husband, and together they continued working well into their retirement years.
She was deeply creative and talented, with a gift for sewing, decorating, and painting—often creating beautiful, meaningful pieces for those she loved.
Felicia also enjoyed exploring flea markets and antique shops, always searching for unique treasures, including her beloved depression glass.
Nothing brought her more joy than her grandchildren, whom she adored and "spoiled" with love, making every moment with them special and memorable.
Felicia's warmth, creativity, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew her.
