Eric Thomas Tiedemann, 56, of Middletown passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 13th, 2024 at Middlesex Hospital. Born in New Haven, he was the son of the late Harry Sr. and Evelyn (Walker) Tiedemann. Eric graduated from Coginchaug Regional High School in 1987. Eric was a one of a kind person who loved having in-depth conversations about life and always encouraging and challenging others to think outside the box. Eric also loved reading the bible and studying the word of God. If you knew Eric, you also knew how much he loved sharing his paintings with the world. Eric's passion may have been painting, but his true joy was his family. He loved spending time with his children as well as his grandchildren watching them grow into the people they are today. Eric's laugh was distinct, infectious and always left a lasting impression on anyone who got the privilege of hearing it. He is survived by his children Victoria Tiedemann of Clinton, Catherine Herrington and her Husband Gage of Middlefield, Daniel Tiedemann of Middletown, Nate Tiedemann of Middletown, Emily Tiedemann of Ivoryton, his Sister Krista Tiedemann of Rockfall, his Brother Harry Tiedemann Jr of Haddam, his Brother in Law Shawn Fedler and Wife Danielle of Haddam as well as eight grandchildren.
