Elizabeth "Betty" Mosca, 88, of Higganum, wife of the late Salvatore Mosca, passed away peacefully.

Elizabeth was born in Middletown, daughter of the late Harry and Joan (Augeri) Hofher. Prior to her retirement Elizabeth was employed as an executive secretary with the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation.

Elizabeth is survived by a son and three daughters. Vincent & Susan Dimauro of Wethersfield, Joan & Mark Pontbriand of Higganum, Lisa Welch of Higganum, Courtney & Dan Demelis of Higganum. Her cherished grandchildren Nick Dimauro, Rachael Welch, Jenn Switalski, Alan Oktavec, Alexa Avanzo, Daniel DeMelis, Miranda Eliades, Peter Welch, Reno Demelis and Natalie Pontbriand. Her most cherished great grandchildren Brooklyn, Olivia, Ellie, Georgia, Rowan, Francesca and Luca and her beloved sister, Kathy "Ann" Pitruzzello, and brother-in-law, Emanuel "Butch" Pitruzzello.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her beloved daughter Michele Mosca and son in law Peter Welch.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Biega Funeral Home 3 Silver Street, Middletown on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 9:30 to 10:30 am. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 3 Elm Street, Middletown at 11 a.m.  Burial will be held privately.
