Elizabeth M. "Betty" Urquhart, 101, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at her home in Middletown, CT.

Betty was born on February 29, 1924 in Broxburn, Scotland, the 5th of 7 children. She married Alexander Urquhart on January 26, 1946 in Edinburgh, Scotland where they had two children, Elizabeth Cameron Urquhart and Roy Urquhart. In 1955 they left Scotland for the United States, settling in Connecticut.

Betty leaves behind her Grandson Andrew Harrison and his wife Cindy of Middletown, Granddaughter Joy Shirey and her husband Kevin of Montgomery, AL, Great-Grandchildren Christina, Cameron, Drew and Carter Harrison, all of Middletown, CT whom she adored. She also leaves her son-in-law Verne Harrison of Middletown, CT and several nieces and nephews, including Margaret Purcell of Tempe, AZ, Robert Wilson of Sun Lakes, AZ, and William Wilson of Holtsville, NY.

The family would like to thank Sovereign Home Healthcare for the wonderful caregivers they provided and the kindness shown to Betty and her family. Betty will be dearly missed by all her knew her.
