Edward Hardgrove, 65, of Higganum, beloved husband of the late Kristi Hardgrove, died suddenly at his home.  Ed was born in Middletown, son of the late Burt and Elizabeth (Everett) Hardgrove.

Prior to his retirement Ed was employed as a welder.  Ed enjoyed living his life to the fullest. He was an avid boater frequenting the CT river. He enjoyed being outdoors and tinkering. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and passing along his wealth of knowledge. Ed enjoyed a conversation and could be found talking someone's ear off at every turn. Ed had an unmatched love for the game of football and one of his greatest joys in life was watching his children and now grandchildren play and join him in this passion.

Ed is survived by his three sons Sean Hardgrove and his wife Heidi of Higganum, Josh Hardgrove and his wife Jamie of Enfield, Ryan Hardgrove and spouse Jamie Talbot of Higganum. Eight grandchildren Paisley, Mac, Sadie, Harper (Sean) Noah, Skylar, (Josh) Vayda, and Braxtyn (Ryan).
