Edwin "Scott" Cichon, age 72, of East Hampton, beloved husband of Maureen Fitzgerald, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, CT. Born to the late Paul and Gloria Ann Cichon, Scott lived a life marked by dedication to family, friends, and his work. He was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Manufacturing, where he proudly contributed many years as a NDT Aircraft inspector.  Scott was a veteran, serving with the Connecticut National Guard in the Public Affairs Division.  He was a great athlete and was drafted by the New York Mets organization as a pitcher in 1970.  He was inducted into the Middletown Sports Hall of Fame in 2022.

Scott is survived by his beloved wife, Maureen Fitzgerald, and his cherished daughter, Jennifer Cichon, his granddaughters, Sage and Bella. He is also survived by his sister, Paulette Ganoe, and her husband, Ronald, of Colchester, a nephew and Godson, Roger-Paul and his husband Kyle.  He also leaves his in-laws, Erin, Kate, Louise, and their families, whom he spent many happy times.  Scott was predeceased by his brothers in law, Patrick and Mark and brother, David Cichon, whose memory he carried dearly.

Scott was a person that truly loved life, loved to laugh, and made friends wherever he went.  He will be dearly missed.
