Dorothy "Dottie" Ann Passamano, passed away unexpectedly at Middlesex Hospital on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.  Born and raised in Middletown, she was the beloved daughter of the late, Louis Passamano and Jennie (Pagano) Passamano. Dottie worked as a CNA for various nursing homes. Before her last retirement, she was working at Chester Village in Chester. She enjoyed working with the elderly at the assisted living where she had many fond memories. After retirement, she enjoyed going to Mohegan Sun to the casinos and concerts. She loved playing cards with her special friend Kevin K., playing pokeno with her sisters at Joannes's house, playing pokeno with the girls at the IACO club, dancing and doing karaoke. She always looked forward to the fall when she would go see the foliage with her friends. Her favorite TV shows were Hallmark and the Golden Girls.

She is survived by her children, Laurie Ann Chesik, Kevin Chesik, three grandchildren, Tyler and Austin Vandersloot and Gianna Chesik, two loving sisters, Joanne Massey of Cromwell, and Betty J. Terrasi and her husband Fred of Middletown, her best friend Evelyn Texiera whom she spoke to every day on the phone, and her two furry babies Kyle and Lance. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Suzie Chesik Vandersloot; and brother, Salvatore J. Passamano.

Family and friends may gather to pay their respect on Tuesday, May 21st from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:00 a.m. at St. Sebastian Church, 155 Washington Street, Middletown.
