Doris Lamb passed away on May 6, 2026, at the age of 88. Born in Somerville, MA, she was raised in New Britain, CT, and graduated from New Britain High School.

In 1958, Doris married Roger Lamb, and together they created a happy and loving home in Middletown, CT, where she lived for 64 years. Roger predeceased her in 1976. In 2025, Doris moved to Middlefield, CT.

Doris worked at Landers in New Britain before spending nearly three decades at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, where she was known for her kindness, dedication, and warm spirit.

She enjoyed gardening, reading, caring for her home, and gathering around the dinner table with family. Above all, Doris cherished the people she loved most.

Doris is survived by her sisters, Marjorie Paoletti of Ocean Springs, MS, and Eileen Turner of Terryville, CT; her brother, James Day of North Wales, PA; her daughters, Lisa Guerra and her husband Joe of Guilford, CT, and Sheri Pear and her husband Michael of Meriden, CT; and her beloved grandsons, Sam Guerra of Guilford and Jac Guerra of Chicago. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

She will be lovingly remembered always.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 12, from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown, CT. Burial will follow at Maple Cemetery in Berlin, CT, with a reception afterward. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doris's memory to the American Cancer Society.
