Doreen F. (Siry) Choquette, 77, of Cromwell, beloved wife of James Choquette, died Tuesday November 3, 2026 at St. Francis Hospital.

She was born in Bristol, daughter of the late Peter and Irene (Ciarkoski) Siry. Doreen was a registered nurse who specialized in psychiatry and was employed with the Institute of Living and Middletown Health Care Center.

Since her retirement in 2006, Doreen enjoyed spoiling her grandsons and traveling. She especially loved cruising and going to Disney World. At home, Doreen loved to knit and crochet, often donating her hats, scarves, and blankets to St. Vincent DePaul.

Besides her husband, Doreen is survived by her son, Rev. David P. Choquette of Cromwell, daughter, Amy Reeder and her husband Joshua of Middletown, sisters, Marcia Czellecz of Thomaston, and Karen Mantay of Carmel, IN, and two grandchildren, Liam Reeder of Albany, NY, and Lochlan Reeder of Middletown.

Her Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wednesday (Nov. 11th) at 11 a.m. at St. John Church, 5 St. John Court, Cromwell with her son, Rev. David P. Choquette as celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Middletown. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday (Nov. 10th) from 4 to 6 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St. Middletown.
