Donald W. Eager, 91, of Middletown, formerly of Wallingford, beloved husband of fifty-one years to Marcia (Duval) Eager, passed away on Tuesday August 15, 2023 at Middlesex Hospital.

He was born in Middletown, son of the late Albert J. Eager and Mary (Scheu) Eager Ewald. Donald was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the US Army. He was employed as mountain manager for Powder Ridge Ski Resort in Middlefield for twenty-five years. He also was the owner of Eager Printers and in collaboration with his daughter Susan was the inventor of the Eager Lock.

Donald is survived by his wife, Marcia; son, James Eager of Pooler, GA; daughter, Susan Eager of Hobe Sound, FL; sister, Mary Byrnie of Cromwell; one grandchild and four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers, William and Richard Eager.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dad's Restaurant on RT 5 in Wallingford, CT.  Funeral services and burial are private.
