Diane Kristina Szydlik, 68, of Manchester, CT, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
Her parents, Chester Szydlik and Marianna (Koslowski) Szydlik preceded her in death.
Diane is survived by her daughter Nichole Gehle and Nichole's partner, Thomas Arcadipani of Windsor, her brother, Joseph Szydlik and sister-in-law, Sharyl Gabriel Szydlik of California and her sister Sophie Lundigan and brother-in-law Larry Lundigan of Middletown. She was the proud aunt of Catherine and Michelle Lundigan and Michael Szydlik.
Diane was born in Myszyniec, Poland, and immigrated to New Britain with her mother, brother and sister in 1961 where they joined her father.
In her early 20's, Diane started her first adventure by moving to California, where she initially lived with her brother, eventually moving to Manhattan Beach, a place she loved and where she found immense joy. She raised Nichole in the California sunshine for ten years, and then they took their adventure, driving across the country and returning to Connecticut.
She was a loving mother who, by example, raised her daughter to be strong, fiercely independent and a force to be reckoned with. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th from 11am-12:30pm with a funeral service at 12:30 at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown.
