Delaney Kellan
Alexander
Jun 2, 2007 — Oct 30, 2023
Middletown
Delaney Kellan Alexander, 16, of Middletown, beloved daughter of Heidi (Daraskevich) Alexander and Raymond H. Alexander, died Monday October 30, 2023, at her home.
She was born in Middletown and attended Middletown High School where her favorite subjects were math and art. She painted in oils, drew and sketched, spent hours on Minecraft and the SIMs. Intense and full of energy, Delaney had a unique outlook on life, a great sense of humor, and a large and diverse collection of music but could sing all the words from any song from the musical Hamilton. She adored all animals, and in her youth, was an avid rock climber, gymnast, horseback rider and competitor in horse shows, sometimes on her own horse, Bailey. She especially loved her dogs, Snapple and Blueberry. She was naturally athletic and skied often at Powder Ridge & Catamount, and often rode a four-wheeler around her family home in Mt. Washington, MA.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her maternal grandparents, Gregory & Bette Daraskevich of East Hartford; her uncle David Daraskevich & aunt Laurence of Jacksonville FL; her uncle Glen Daraskevich & aunt Allison of Scituate, MA and their children, her cousins, Sasha, Ella and Gus. She was the only grandchild of her paternal grandmother, Alice V. "Ginger" Alexander of South Egremont, MA; and was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Raymond W. Alexander, and uncle, Robert W. Alexander. She had many loving cousins and relations and touched the lives of so many with her exuberance and smile.
