David Scott Johnson IV of Middletown, CT passed away peacefully on January 26, 2024 after a courageous battle with neuroendocrine cancer.

He is survived by the love of his life of 22 years, Barbara Johnson of Middletown; his son Christopher Johnson; his daughter Rena Johnson; his parents David and Joan Johnson of Killingworth; and his sister Lara Johnson of Guilford.

David who was more commonly known as Scott by his family and friends, loved being outside in nature and enjoyed playing and working on cars. He graduated from Haddam Killingworth High School in 1990 and went on to Technical School at Porter and Chester in Wethersfield. He had his own landscaping business for a while, but then decided he wanted to follow his passion and work on cars. He worked as an Auto Technician and Foreman for Montesi VW for 16 years and for the last 8 years at Gene Langan VW. Scott loved to share his knowledge of cars with friends and co-workers. He was always willing to help and lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He enjoyed riding his bikes, fishing, hunting and going camping with his family.

The Johnson Family would like to thank his loving friend since elementary school Jere Adametz and his family for generously donating their time and support during this difficult time. They would also like to thank the many families and friends at the Gene Langan and the Hartt School Communities for their kindness and generosity. Finally, they would like to thank the Hartford Hospital doctors, nurses, and staff for their loving care and compassion.

A church service will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 10am at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 301 W. Main St. New Britain, CT 06052. Burial will follow at Indian Hill Cemetery.
