David T. Crysler, 83, of Haddam husband of the late, Jacquelyn (Rupert) Crysler, died Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Middlesex Hospital.

David was born in Syracuse, NY, son of the late, Edwin and Cora (Knoble) Crysler.  Prior to his retirement, David was employed as Chief of Police at Whiting Forensic Hospital.  He was a veteran serving with the U.S. Marine Corps.

David is survived by his daughters, Wendy Edwards of Chester, CT, Kelly French of Colchester, CT, and Ann Buracchi of Madison, CT; sons, David Crysler of Mocksville, NC, and Brian Crysler of Moodus, CT; eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 16th at Noon at Biega Funeral Home 3 Silver Street, Middletown.  Friends May gather prior to the service from 11 to 12 pm at the funeral home.  Burial with military honors will be held at the State Veterans' Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown.
