Danette Marie (Wilkins) Marino, 65, of Middletown, passed away on Tuesday September 17, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Middletown on October 27, 1958 to Mary Jane (D'Elia) Wilkins and the late Silas Edward Wilkins.

Danette enjoyed spending time volunteering, whether at church, school, or as a leader of the Boy Scouts, she could always be found lending a hand. She was a talented cook and would ship her sauce to loved ones. Most of all she loved spending time and entertaining her family and will be greatly missed.

Danette is survived by her son Matthew J. Marino, who was her pride and joy; her siblings, Deborah Pullum, Michele Palmieri, Gary Wilkins, stepchildren, Carla Marino, Michael Marino, Jr. (Karen), Shelly Marino; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Michael J. Marino, Sr., sister-in-law Rose Wilkins, and brother-in-law Michael Pullum.

Funeral services will be held Saturday (Sept. 28th) at 11 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown.  Burial will be in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield.  Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:30 to 11 a.m., prior to the services.
